Reese Esponda

Reese Esponda broke through in 2026. She was 16th at 2025 nationals; a year later in Phoenix she won the floor title, finished fourth all-around and posted the top single score of any woman on day one, a 14.450.

Before that she won the U.S. Classic, her first elite all-around title, ahead of Jade Carey. And she did it after a ligament injury in her foot slowed her down for two months in the spring.

She’s from Helena, Montana, and started gymnastics at three, inspired by Gabby Douglas at the 2012 Olympics. At 15 she moved to the Biles family’s World Champions Centre in Texas, where Simone Biles gives her pointers. Floor and vault are her strengths, and she’s headed to LSU in 2027.

After the selection camp in Crossville, Tennessee, USA Gymnastics named her to the five-woman team for Rotterdam. It will be her Worlds debut.
