
Sofia Shtykhetskaya is a bars specialist on the rise. At Europeans in Zagreb in August 2026, she was the youngest gymnast in the uneven bars final at just 15 and finished seventh after qualifying with a 13.966.
Her breakthrough came in March 2026 at the Baku World Cup, where she won bronze on bars for her first World Cup medal, finishing behind Olympic champion Kaylia Nemour. She added another bars bronze at the Paris World Challenge Cup in September with a 14.100. At home she won the Belarusian all-around title in 2025 and a national team title in 2026. She represents the Bagima sports school in Mogilev.
Belarus qualified a full team for Worlds by placing 13th in Zagreb. Shtykhetskaya is one of five gymnasts on the Belarusian entry for Rotterdam, where the team competes as a neutral team without flag or anthem, listed as WG1.
