Qiyuan Qiu

Qiu Qiyuan is one of the best bar workers of her generation. At 16 she won the world title on bars in Antwerp in 2023 with a 15.100, and she also finished fourth in the all-around and with China’s team.

In Paris a year later she led the Olympic bars final until Kaylia Nemour edged her by two tenths, so Qiu took silver with a 15.500. She also placed seventh in the all-around. In 2025 she won bars at China’s National Games with a 14.640, her first National Games title, plus all-around silver. She has also battled a serious elbow injury that required surgery.

In 2026 she’s back on top in Asia: team and bars gold at the Asian Championships in Zunyi, then team gold, bars gold with a 15.100 and beam silver with a 14.566 at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. Beam is a real second weapon; she also won beam bronze at the Cairo World Cup.

From Fujian province, Qiu is coached by Liu Tao. China has named her to its team for Worlds in Rotterdam.
