Qingying Zhang

Zhang Qingying is the reigning world champion on beam. At Worlds in Jakarta in 2025, she won the title with a 15.166 off a 6.9 start value and added all-around bronze. Afterward she thanked her coach Xu Jinglei for pulling her back together before the final.

Known in China as “Big Zhang,” she comes from Zhejiang and won her first national all-around title in 2025, one day before her 18th birthday. That fall she helped Zhejiang to team gold at the National Games and took all-around bronze.

In 2026 she has been one of China’s most reliable all-arounders: national all-around silver, then at the Asian Championships in Zunyi team gold, beam gold with a 15.266 and all-around silver. At the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in September she posted the top beam score of the team final (15.066) on the way to team gold and added bronze on bars.

She has been named to China’s team for Worlds in Rotterdam, where she will defend her beam title.
