Lorette Charpy is the veteran of France’s Worlds team. The 24-year-old from Annonay was part of the squad that won team bronze at the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp — the first Worlds team medal for French women since 1950.

Her career has been a fight back from injury. A torn ACL, suffered on beam in training in March 2021, cost her the Tokyo Olympics, and in 2022 she tore the ACL in the same knee again. She worked her way back, but for Paris 2024 she was named only a reserve.

Charpy won the French all-around title in 2025 and finished fifth all-around at Euros that year. In 2026 she won team bronze with France at the European Championships in Zagreb. Bars and beam are her best events.

She trained for more than a decade at France’s national center in Saint-Étienne. On Sept. 24, France named her to its five-woman team for Rotterdam.
