Back from a broken ankle, two silver medals at the 2026 Paris World Challenge Cup

Izzy Stassi fought her way back. She broke her ankle in 2024, had surgery that put two screws in it, and had to learn to walk again. A year later she finished second all-around at the American Classic, throwing a double-double on floor that she hadn’t competed before the injury.

Vault is her best event: 2023 U.S. junior vault champion and U.S. bronze medalist in 2025 and 2026. In Phoenix she tied for eighth all-around, and at the end of September she won silver on vault and floor at the Paris World Challenge Cup. The Ohio native is already a freshman at Oklahoma and competes elite for the Sooners under K.J. Kindler and Lou Ball. Her first NCAA season starts in 2027.
