Gréta Mayer won vault gold on home soil at the World Challenge Cup in Szombathely in September 2026, scoring a 13.516. Four weeks earlier she had made the vault final at Euros in Zagreb and finished seventh, just 0.001 ahead of Hungarian teammate Csenge Bácskay, after landing both vaults cleanly.
She is also Hungary’s leading all-arounder. At the 2025 World Championships in Jakarta she placed 18th in the all-around final with a 50.666; at Euros in Leipzig that year she was 14th in the all-around and eighth on vault. In late 2025 she won the Hungarian all-around title.
Mayer trains with coach János Trenka at DKSE in Dunaújváros. Hungary did not qualify a full team for Rotterdam, and as of early October her individual entry for Worlds had not been officially confirmed.
