Elena Colas

Elena Colas is the newest star of French gymnastics. At 16, in her first senior season, she won the beam title at the 2026 European Championships in Zagreb, ahead of Italy’s Manila Esposito and Angelina Melnikova.

She left Zagreb with four medals: beam gold, floor silver, all-around bronze and team bronze. Earlier this year she won the French all-around title plus gold on bars and floor, and she won the all-around and bars at the Jesolo Trophy. In late September she won bars at the Paris World Challenge Cup.

As a junior she was European Youth all-around champion and won Junior Worlds team gold with France.

Colas has trained at Avoine-Beaumont near Tours since she was 3. Since summer 2026 her mother has coached her there, after longtime coaches Marc and Gina Chirilcenco left for Qatar. She’s on France’s team for Rotterdam, her first Worlds.
