Charlize Mörz

Charlize Mörz is Austria’s top vaulter and keeps rewriting the country’s record book. At the 2025 Worlds in Jakarta she became the first Austrian woman ever to make an event final at a World Championships, finishing seventh on vault.

She followed that up in 2026 with vault bronze at the Osijek World Cup and her first European final in Zagreb, where two clean vaults earned her sixth place. Before all that, she competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Born in Eisenstadt, she came up at ASKÖ Kunstturnen Mattersburg and has twice been voted Burgenland’s sportswoman of the year. This season she skipped the Austrian championships to finish high school.

National coach Lara van Dyck, in charge since early 2026, has said Mörz will compete in Rotterdam, where she’s working toward a harder vault: a handspring with one and a half twists.
