Anna Kalmykova is the European all-around silver medalist. At her first Euros, in Zagreb in August 2026, she finished second behind teammate Angelina Melnikova and won team gold with Russia, which competed as World Gymnastics 2. She also made three event finals.

She almost didn’t make it to Zagreb: Croatia initially denied her a visa and reversed course only days before the competition.

Kalmykova, 18, won the Russian all-around title and the Russian Cup in 2026. In 2024 she injured her leg at the Russian Championships but came back the same year to win all-around silver at the BRICS Games.

She’s one of six gymnasts on Russia’s FIG entry for Worlds; five will compete. Russia competes in Rotterdam as a neutral team, without flag or anthem.
