Angelina Melnikova

Angelina Melnikova is the reigning world all-around champion. In Jakarta in 2025 she won the title for the second time after 2021, adding vault gold and bars silver, at 25 and with ten career Worlds medals.

At the Tokyo Olympics she won team gold with Russia plus bronze in the all-around and on floor, five years after taking team silver in Rio as a 16-year-old.

Born in Voronezh, she represents Dynamo Voronezh and is coached by Natalia Ishkova. Since Russian athletes returned to international competition she has competed as a neutral, without flag or anthem, and at Europeans in Zagreb in 2026 she won gold in the all-around, on vault and with the team, plus bronze on beam and floor. What sets her apart is how complete she is: she is a final contender on all four events.

She is on Russia’s six-name FIG entry for Worlds in Rotterdam, where the Russian team competes as a neutral team (WG2); five of the six will compete.
