Alia Leat’s comeback is one of the best stories in British gymnastics. She had walked away from the sport after the 2022 season, came back to the gym in the fall of 2024, and won the British all-around title just a few months later. In 2025 she made her first Worlds team. Beam is her event: at Europeans in Zagreb she qualified second, finished fifth in the final with the highest difficulty in the field, and put up a 14.166 in the team final. At the 2026 Commonwealth Games she won bronze with England. She trains at Heathrow Gymnastics Club with coach Vince Walduck.
